Stanley Park is the Best for Morning Runs

sunny 28 °C

Vancouver is fascinating for both its nature and its culture. If you're looking for an exciting summer and that Canada is one your list, I'd suggest you go to Vancouver.

It's one of the trending locations discussed online. It doesn't come as a surprise to see travelers sharing a lot about this city.

If you stay in Coal Harbour, you're lucky because the Seawall is not far from you. Enter Stanley Park with a cup of coffee in one hand and a camera on the other one and you'll be able to take pictures like these ones:

sunny 27 °C

If you're lucky to be in Vancouver, BC in August, make sure you take a good camera with you as you won't have one day without stunning views.

If you're wondering where to go, I'd suggest you to take a look at this personal microblog of a Vancouverite, you'll find great recommendations based on his own experiences.

It's usually during the first weekend of August. I don't know about you but, for me, street art is the best representation of a local culture. I have to say: I haven't been disappointed by Vancouver's culture.

Take a look at these few shots I took:

This is why Joffre Lakes deserve your best camera

overcast 23 °C

Joffre Lakes is one of Vancouver most beautiful hikes in the entire region. In the list of all Vancouver hikes you can do, it's probably the easiest too :p

The hiking trail goes through several lakes and reaches a campsite next to Upper Joffre Lake where Matier Glacier says hi!

It took me 3 hours to finish it and this is one of the few hikes where you put minimum effort for maximum reward.

Beaver Lake is well-hidden when the weather is foggy

semi-overcast 14 °C

Vancouver, BC is a often described as one of the most liveable city in the world. The comfort of living is incredible thanks to its proximity with a lot of mountains, parks and canyons.

When you look at a few travel blogs online, you realize that everyone has a favorite trail, park or landscape.

Beaver Park is one of the few reasons why I love Vancouver. It sits in the center of Stanley Park and offer you a great view of the local wildlife and vegetation.

Mosts pictures you'll find online have been taken in Spring or Summer. I've taken this picture in September which is the beginning of the raining season in Vancouver. And I have to say: this fog gives a little magic to this place.

The Girl in Wetsuit is in Vancouver, BC

sunny 22 °C

If you're lucky to visit Vancouver, BC this summer, make a stop in Coal Harbour, North of Vancouver Downtown area (and if you don't know why you should go to Vancouver, check these amazing stories about Vancouver).

If you're into morning runs like me, make sure you start your day on the seawall. You'll be greeted with an amazing view of Vancouver and will have the honor to meet the famous "Girl In Wetsuit".

Although a lot of people think this is the statue of a mermaid, it's really just a girl in wetsuit. Apparently, this statue is a gift from a sculptor to the Vancouver Park Board. I like the fact that it represents Vancouver's dependence on the sea.
